true st✪ry
It's 1944.
The world is at War.
The president is dying.
And Democrats, at the height of power, make a fateful decision.
Convention tells the startling true story of the 1944 Democratic National Convention. It's shocking, funny and fully immersive: 50 actors plunge the audience right into the middle of the chaos. So you're not just watching a play - you're living the infamous 1944 DNC in real time.
What's at stake: In a moment of internal crisis, Democratic Party leaders made a backroom decision that changed the course of history. They ousted incumbent VP Henry Wallace - a hugely popular progressive - and installed an obscure Senator named Harry S. Truman. FDR died months later, and with that switch, the global order was forever changed.
